Friday 4 March 2011, Male’, Maldive – ECOCARE Maldives re-launched its website in a small ceremony that was held in Monsoons Restaurant in Male’. The site was inaugurated by Chairman Mr. Mohamed Zahir (Meem Zaviyani) and General secretary Mr. Moosa Maniku. This ceremony was attended by most of the ECOCARE volunteer staff.

Speaking in this small gathering Chairman Mohamed Zahir expressed his appreciation and thanks to volunteer staff that are managing the site and also called this a new step, a new gateway for ECOCARE Maldives.

Also this was the first time the NGO has opened up for general membership. ECOCARE welcomes any interested individual to join in as a general member both national and foreign and to be part of this organization committed to aware, protect and sustain the very vulnerable environment of ours.

With the launching of this new site ECOCARE Maldives wishes to expand its online activities and campaigns broadening its membership base. We also look forward to work with many international groups and organization, with new partners and with old ones; we are committed in the global initiatives and environmental battles that are taking place around the world.
